Picks up small objects with precise grasp of thumb and index finger.

Looks for toy hidden before his/her eyes under cup or cushion/
Knows and turns to own name. Jargons tunefully, loudly and insistently. Comprehends simple commands ('give me', 'say bye-bye').
Holds spoon but cannot use it alone. Drinks from cup with help.
Cooperates in dressing by holding out arms.
Mother reports: Very dependent on familiar adult.
Demonstrates affection.
